Zen Talks
Advanced Class Series 2
Zen Talks is the 2nd series of the Advanced Class series. When leading Advanced Class, Sitting Sessions, and Zen Retreats, Shifu (master/ teacher) Linda and Shifu Jeremy explained Zen doctrines, accepted questions and used their learning and practicing experience as examples to guide us towards uncovering our self-nature. For their disciples, Shifu Linda and Shifu Jeremy's most valuable teachings are not just interpreting Zen doctrines or explaining ancient Chinese Zen masters' instructions, but more importantly, giving us vivid examples (some even from day-to-day life) to remind us of the right views about Zen and Zen meditation. Shifu Linda and Shifu Jeremy pointed out our mistakes, followed our progress and urged, even forced, us to acknowledge and learn from our mistakes and progress. Shifu Linda and Shifu Jeremy have only one purpose in mind, that is to lead us in advancing our Zen practice, to Enlightenment.
Therefore, we gratefully edited these instructions from their in-person, real-time, and video classes into Zen Talks to share Shifu Linda and Shifu Jeremy's most valuable teachings with you. We hope you can benefit from their teachings to make progress in your Zen meditation practice. We have carefully selected and edited our Shifus' important and key teachings as much as our limited resources allow. We provide the rough-cut video version to keep and reflect Shifu Linda and Shifu Jeremy's teaching style and will have new releases monthly. We are very sorry that we cannot afford to add closed captions, give a fine cut, and provide the videos as soon as Shifus gave the lessons due to the lack of resources.
We recommend you to have a good basic understanding about Doubting Meditation, as we mainly focus on this method of meditation. We learn and practice Doubting Meditation in Bridging Class, Advanced Class, Sitting Sessions, and Zen Retreats.
